Hart, Patricia -
Plainwell - Age 93, passed away on Sunday June 3, 2017. She was born on March 1, 1924 in Muskegon, Michigan to Charles and Arlie (Bennett) Twining. Pat was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Pat married Ewart Jerome “E.J.” Hart, whom she met one day when she was trying to sell her car. E.J. told his brother-in-law “I’m not sure about the car, but I really like the girl.” E.J. and Pat wed on September 24, 1946. She truly enjoyed spending time at her “summer” home on Austin Lake with Judy and Doug and their family. Pat loved to paint, crochet, enjoyed nature and being outdoors. One of Pat’s favorite sounds was the noise the children made when playing at the lake. Pat lived her life with love for the Lord and embraced the song “Just a Closer Walk With Thee”. Pat worked as a dental assistant for many years, worked at Hart’s Jewelry and Welling, Ripley & Labs Fine Furniture. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, E.J. Hart, Sr., and her second husband, Donald Gelbaugh. She leaves behind, her children: Judy (Doug) Labs of Portage and E.J. (Audrey) Hart, Jr., of Plainwell; 4 grandchildren: Rebecca Labs, Charles Labs, Jr., Erin (Chris) Bolda, Nikki (Matt) Hart-Binkley. Her great grandchildren are Morgan (Seth) Olson, Kayce (Jarret) Geering, Jeremy Bolda, Ethan Bolda, Damien Hutton and Elliot Bolda. 6 great-great grandchildren include Braxton Schuler, James Geering, Lilly Geering, Emily Geering, Abby Geering and Tori Geering. Also left behind are Misty and Aiden Partaine. Pat also wanted to mention her very dear friend, Marge Westover (otherwise known as the “red-headed terror”), as well as Sister June Johnson, DJ. Bev Klinger and family. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or Haven Reformed Church c/o the funeral home, or a charity of your choice.
